Business Vision Statement - that dynamic and enjoyable P2P Discussion Groups: -
"…. Improve Business Profits and provide individuals more personal choices, by creative "fun" opportunities to learn from others. To challenge current thinking and business visions of what is possible and what could be."
We say, "we can" when others say, "we can't".
Goals
- To create a challenging but supportive & sharing learning environment that stretches the people I work with, so that they can discover for themselves what enormous potential they all have in themselves.
- To continually improve the Dairy Farm Business Profits of all P2P Discussion Group members.
- Assist every Group member to grow more pasture and to fully utilize that pasture by better grazing management skills.
- To focus on better business skills including 5 year Business Plans, Benchmarking farm businesses and performance, monitoring financial progress and quicker more effective farm management decisions.
- To identify the key drivers of profit on dairy farms and to help find creative solutions that are practical, simple to implement, scientifically soundly based and that lead to greater farm profits.
- Target better dairy herd fertility thru compact block calving and cross breeding.
- Better soil fertility and fertilizer practices that are environmentally sustainable, effective, easily understood and that grow more pasture over a longer grazing season each year.
- Assist Group members to be better people managers so that prospective employees are attracted to work on our farms knowing that they will be fully respected, encouraged to develop their professional skills and be well rewarded for their efforts.
- To help dairy farmers form and self manage effective on farm discussion groups. That a supportive network of groups be formed to look after the needs of the farming families who are the membership.
- That P2P puts the word "fun" back into British dairy farming so that farmers can create profits, families have a lifestyle with choices and that dairy farming is perceived as an attractive profession to be part of in the United Kingdom.
